The organization also reported that it could not make any progress on the battlefield. Clashes between the armed forces of the new Syrian government and the SDF began in Deir-ez-Zor. There is a danger that the conflict may escalate. According to information from Syrian television, SDF fighters were killed and wounded as a result of coordinated attacks with the use of firearms from several positions in the province of Deir-ez-Zor. The attacks included an assault on a military vehicle, staff, and checkpoints, as well as shooting at a patrol.

"The situation in Syria remains tense, and we need to pay close attention to all aspects of the conflict," - said the head of the new Syrian government Ahmed Shaar with a special representative of the UN in Syria Geir O. Pedersen.
